Hello there, and welcome to my profile. My decision to work in this field was fueled by my observations of my mom's experiences with mental health treatment. As a result, I have strong compassion for people and I approach treatment differently. I am constantly looking for new and effective treatments that can be pleasant and enjoyable. I am a huge animal lover and I believe that animals enrich our lives and trigger our natural compassion for others. This is why I incorporate animals in my practice. There is nothing more uplifting than to be greeted by two wagging tails.

Telehealth visits are now available. I have been providing counseling to individuals, couples and families since 1998. I have worked with clients from age 5 to 81 in addressing problems with mood and behavior, as well as relationships, and vocational problems. I practice a person-centered approach to your concerns, identify your goals and create a plan to achieve those goals. We may also use strategies from other therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and brief solution-focused therapy.

I enjoy working with children (9+) adolescents, and adults to develop conflict resolution skills, communication skills, emotion regulation skills, social skills, impulse control, self-exploration, and self-esteem building skills. I specialize in an Eclectic holistic approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and other treatment approaches. I am a Board Approved Supervisor and I strive to help people explore and develop their strengths in an effort to empower them to confidently manage symptoms as well as challenges that present in life.
