My goal as your therapist is to meet you where you are at and help you navigate through the process of growth and healing. I have been in the human service field in some capacity since 2009. I use a person centered approach and believe that being authentic is an important part of the counseling process. I have primary worked with adolescents and adults with addictions and mental health. In this practice it is my goal to help the client feel safe enough to talk honestly and open with me to work through all aspects of their life.

While I can treat clients of all ages, most of my experience has been working with adults with substance use disorders and process addictions in an outpatient setting. I have experience with persons in the court systems and CPS, as well as those who are ready for a different, healthier, sober lifestyle. My goal is to serve the addiction and recovery community to the best of my abilities and skills and be a part in your journey towards healing.

My name is Shila Johnson and I focus my private practice around helping clients discover who they authentically are and how they can live a life full of meaning and purpose. I combine intuitive counseling along with energy healing to help people heal from the past and connect to their body and emotions so they can really start living life. I help people overcome a number of life issues such as relationship problems, work/life stress, anxiety and trauma. I use several techniques such as EMDR, (eye movement desensitization therapy), Mindfulness therapy, Solutions focused therapy, Emotion code, and Holy Fire Karuna Reiki.

I have certifications as a Clinical Telemental Health Provider (CTMH) as well as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I have over a decade of experience working in a variety of fields, including trauma, early childhood development, child and adolescent crisis, intensive-in-home family therapy, and private practice working with children, adolescents, families, couples and first responders.

Drug and Alcohol Evaluations for both adults and adolescents can be obtained from me. I will always give more than is required and be your best advocate. If you are having problems due to alcohol and drugs whether it be marriage, relationship, employment/school, or legal we can work together toward BETTER TIMES. I am a qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) who stands ready to assist those employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol regulation. I make MAT referrals.
