I am a second-generation Christian family therapist who has been in practice since 1987, married for 34 years, 2 adult twin daughters, and now 2 sons (both daughters married). My overall philosophy is to assist clients in bringing balance to their lives by examining the emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of their lives. It is important to see the individual as a part of a system, as what may work for one person may not work for another due to current family dynamics and unresolved issues from their past.

The solutions to life's struggles are elusive, and hard times have a way of leaving us filled with doubt, confusion, and hopelessness. These are some of the building blocks of anxiety, depression, resentments, addictions, and strained relationships, among other conditions. It's normal and can even be helpful to experience some worry, sadness, and other forms of tension, however for many these emotions grow to levels where they are no longer useful. Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based approach, i.e., interventions that have shown to be effective through scientific research. Through supportive, caring interpersonal communication and collaboration I aid patients to live a values-guided life. Having taught, trained, supervised, and provided CBT services for over 35 years, I have worked with individuals across the lifespan who faced challenges of anxiety, depression, pain, OCD, chronic pain, and neurological disorders. I have also received 40 hours of advanced training in OCD. My services include assessment of ADHD, personality, bipolar disorder.
