I am currently accepting new clients. Through therapy we can break troubling patterns of thoughts and behaviors, move toward more fulfilling relationships, increase our capacity to cope with suffering, and identify and draw upon internal resources and strengths in order to live life in full. I believe that a strong, trusting, empathic, and collaborative alliance is at the core of a successful therapeutic experience and that this relationship is the key to effective treatment.
My technique is psychodynamic. We make use of the therapeutic relationship and explore how past experiences are influencing our present ones in and out of our awareness. I integrate other valuable approaches as the situation demands and in a manner that is appropriate for where you are in your life.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and an advanced Ph.D. student at Chicago's Institute for Clinical Social Work.I have worked in K-12, private practice, and college counseling center mental health with a diverse clientele. I am skilled in long term therapy and brief treatment.
