Since we live in a heteronormative homophobic, transphobic society I feel it is absolutely essential to fight such oppression intentionally and persistently. My hope is to offer LGBTQIA+ clients support, love, compassion and a place of healing and peace where they can find liberation and truly express the fabulous individual they are. I also have extensive experience working with rape crisis, domestic violence, and sexual assault survivors.

In todays climate it is not uncommon to have anxiety, depression, or even find yourself turning to substances that maybe you have not in the past. I recognize that not only adults, but our children are having to face mental health issues, that before may not have been on their radar. I recognize these mental health issues are on the rise and you just may need someone to talk to or process your world around you with all these stressors. I have worked in hospice for a decade, helping patients and families navigate the end of life process, as well as work with trauma patients from military experience and auto accidents.

My personal experience includes working in a variety of settings including inpatient, private practice, group setting, and community mental health. I have specialized training in Eating Disorders and Adolescents. My training includes supervision from a specialist in eating disorders, nutrition and body image for eating disorders, eating disorders with athletes, and eating disorders within adolescents. I also have experience with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, body image, and trauma. I provide an accepting and nonjudgmental approach to help you get to your ideal self. I aim to instill hope and ensure that you don’t feel alone.

I have faith in the idea that people can, and do change. In my experience, change is not always a linear process. Often, when trying to change a situation or behavior, people fall short or stumble. Being able to truly evaluate an individual's strengths and building upon those, allows for the needed empowerment to overcome our barriers. I am passionate about helping individuals to overcome various behavioral health concerns. Whether you are facing addiction, anxiety, anger issues, grief, stress, depression or trauma, I use a strengths based approach, coupled with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to build upon your inherit resiliency to affect change.

The word "kairos" comes the Greek word meaning, "the opportune and decisive moment for change." I will support you through the counseling process while you search for continued joy and wellness in your life. Child and adolescent services are available to focus in on difficult attitudes, home or school behavior problems, parental divorce or separation issues. Adult counseling is needed to help in difficult life transitions, which may cause anxiety or depression. Couple counseling is available to help develop the necessary communication skills to enhance the relationship. Couples may have reached an impass due to the developmental stages of marriage.

The heavy weight of parenting, the chaos of chronic trauma, the isolation of neurodivergence, the bumpy road of queerness. I have been working with kids, teens, families, and individuals working their way through understanding their identities and traumas for the past 12 years.

I am currently only accepting new patients for testing, not therapy. An important aspect of my practice is creating a space that allows us to explore the obstacles people face and develop tools to remove them. My primary focus is neuropsychological assessment for individuals struggling with a spectrum of concerns, including ADHD, Autism, and dementia. I am certified by the ACBIS and Brain Injury Association of America as a Brain Injury Specialist and work closely with other providers to ensure that all aspects of a person's health are addressed. I have also been certified by IBCCES as an Autism Specialist.

Additionally, I provide the services of Substance Use Disorder evaluations for individuals who are seeking driver's license reinstatement through the Secretary of State Driver's License Appeal And Assessment Division.
