My goal is to help you work through challenges in your life by encouraging you to explore and discuss these concerns. We will develop goals to work towards change in this process. I work with adults, children, families, and couples. We can process a range of problems including career struggles, depression, anxiety, grief, ineffective coping skills, and relationship problems to name a few.

My expertise is in treating relationship issues, specializing in couple's therapy, life stressors and resolving family conflict. My professional life has been consistently focused on serving those in need. Following graduation from the U of M school of social work I focused extensively in substance use therapy with both adolescents and adults. I have found there is no greater satisfaction than helping others seek peace and achieve sobriety. As a licensed therapist I also have extensive experience in working with adults and adolescents facing the challenges of coping with anxiety, depression, addiction and behavioral issues. My focus is to learn about your barriers to positive change and work together to meet your treatment goals!

My focus is with elementary age children and senior citizens to discover alternative ways to cope with life’s struggles to meet their therapy goals in a self-loving and uplifting manner. Sometimes I use a little humor when appropriate and explore what brings them joy to increase their resilience to adapt to difficult life challenges. My style is warm and creative to meet their personality to address issues. I offer play therapy for kids using CBT, games, mindfulness, art, music and more for learning about their feelings and coping better with divorce, ADHD, illness, bullying , anxiety and /or depression.

I believe in meeting my clients where they are today with a strong sense of empathy and compassion. I have been working with families, teens and adults since 2001; treating a variety of struggles such as anxiety, depression, relationships issues, parenting concerns, sexual dysfunction/health and more. I find that building a strong connection with my clients is essential in making progress in the therapeutic relationship. I work with our centers providing counseling, staff development and online counseling and coaching.
