Monday - Friday 1-9pm by appointment. I enjoy working with a variety of clientele. I have experience working with those who have issues with depression, anxiety, PTSD, anger issues, symptoms of bipolar disorder, those who self-harm and issues with addiction. I do see clients who are required court ordered anger management and domestic violence counseling. I am a combat vet (Army) so I am comfortable working with other veterans. I have worked in the West Branch community since 2014. I earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from Michigan State University and a Bachelor's in Liberal Studies and Public Agency Service from Northern Arizona University. I offer 21 years of experience working in Community-Based Services and am dedicated to assisting individuals find healing, develop personal empowerment and recovery. My approach is person-centered, compassionate, psychodynamic, eclectic, and solution-focused. I have served in a variety of settings, including a domestic violence and homeless shelter, a substance abuse treatment center, and Community Mental Health.

Providing a safe and supportive environment for a client to work on their issues is of the utmost importance for me. I truly try to meet clients where they are at in terms of their issues while providing encouraging and non-judgmental feedback. An individual looking to explore issues, enhance coping skills, and create positive change in their life is the ideal client for my practice. I'm honored anytime a client chooses to allow me to be part of their journey.

We will explore your current situation/presenting problem(s) in the initial session(s) to define your counseling goals. Then we will develop a plan to work toward those goals as we identify your strengths, any obstacles you might encounter along the way, and how you will know when those goals have been attained. I am confident that you will reach your desired healing and growth in this collaborative process. After achieving your goal(s) we may decide to set more goals or you may choose to end your counseling for now.

One of the most important tools for successful therapy is the relationship between clinician and client. I believe in creating a judgment free atmosphere through empathetic listening skills and positive regard for the client. I utilize an eclectic combination of Person Centered, Strengths Based, CBT, DBT, Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Reflective Listening, Emotional Processing, and EMDR to work with individuals from childhood to retirement in addressing issues with anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, gender dysphoria, LGBTQIA+, trauma, grief, self-esteem, self-harm, and substance use/addiction.

Since moving back to the U.S, I have worked with children with austism spectrum disorder, as well as teens with anxiety and depression. Most recently I have been working with adults with opiate/opioid addiction. I also work with families, couples, and children.
