I am a fully Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Indiana State University and a Master of Arts in Sociology from Western Illinois University. I work with individuals, families, & couples, specializing in work with gender and affection/sexual identity including those in the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies. I have extensive knowledge about parenting child-rearing dilemmas & those affecting the aged. I am a caring and committed to using her unique perspective to provide an emotionally safe, warm, supportive, affirming, non-judgmental space for clients in their journey.

My belief in therapy has always been to meet and help the client where ever they are in life. I know that AA and 12-Step programs are not for everyone. Whether your goal is complete abstinence, MAT, or learning safer ways to use, I can help you navigate your personal road to recovery. As a Substance Abuse Counselor I work one on one or in a group setting. I am also DEEP Certified and can do both Evaluations and Treatment with you. I am currently accepting new clients. On-line therapy is also available.

Welcome! My name is Elizabeth Cruz, a compassionate therapist, fluent in Spanish and dedicated to supporting individuals on their unique journeys. My approach is centered on meeting people where they are and providing a nurturing and supportive environment where clients can openly share and address their struggles.

I am a clinical counselor and board certified clinical mental health counselor and am licensed to practice in Maine. I have an M.S. in counseling from the University of Southern Maine and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. I am a member of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress and have completed an EMDRIA approved program in EMDR therapy. My practice style is informal and client-centered and I enjoy working with clients on specific issues as well as longer term work.

Some daytime openings for Mainecare and commercial insurance folks. I am seeing people in person, via phone or video chat. It always helps to get another perspective and some new ways of coping. Using techniques such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Processing technique and Narrative therapy can help in the process of self discovery and recovery.

I provide a trauma-informed space for Adults, Adolescents, and Pre-teens to gain support with Anxiety, Depression, Eating Disorders, Grief, and life transitions.
