Hello! My name is Malyka Paulo. I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families wanting to strengthen their relationships and improve their overall happiness and life satisfaction. My areas of interest include relationships, anxiety and stress management, trauma, life transitions, and perinatal mental health.
I use a systemic lens to help my clients understand how larger social systems influence the symptoms that bring them to counseling. My approach to therapy is integrative and includes The Gottman Method, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and EMDR.
I provide culturally sensitive therapy, and a warm, judgement free space where clients can feel safe to be their most authentic selves. I meet clients where they are, with empathy and curiosity. I believe that everyone has strengths within them that can help relieve them of the symptoms they are experiencing and help them begin to live a happier life.
