I enjoy building relationships and do my best to embody core values of authenticity, openness, and vulnerability in my daily life and practice.
I specialize in working with individuals who struggle with executive functions in their daily lives and feel they may have attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (diagnosed or not). I help individuals tap into their strengths and recover from the woundedness that so often accompanies a history of ADHD.

I appreciate how virtual therapy provides clients the opportunity to stay connected while maintaining an active lifestyle and a space for those who are most comfortable in their own settings.
I provide therapy not only because I am passionate about personal growth and connection, but because I believe therapy works. I am inspired by the vulnerability and strength that goes into the healing process. I sincerely believe you have within you what it takes to heal and that doesn't mean you have to do it alone. Through therapy, I hope you feel renewed, motivated, confident, and safe enough in your thoughts and body to fully engage in life. I have had the honor to support those who are seeking out relief from their trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and/or anger.

I consider myself to be a transformation therapist and spiritual life coach.
I work extensively with past/childhood trauma, divorces, family conflict, grief, and fear. The focus of my work is about acknowledging and releasing the beliefs we develop about ourselves from events that occur in the past that are hindering our True selves for flourishing in the present. As an original life coach and counselor of 40 years, I help people see all possibilities and make a greater vision of themselves, their unique talents, gifts and abilities. I have been teaching seminars, workshops, and private sessions for my whole career. My unique healing modality, "The Clearing Process", is the basis for all 24 of my workshops.

Ultimately, you'll feel compelled to live life the way you want and not how others want you to live.
I am on a mission to always strive for a better way to counsel middle-aged women who are considering or are now serving as their parents' primary caregiver/carer—a role-reversal few are prepared for especially if there is a history of unreported sibling physical and sexual abuse. My lived experience as a primary and long-distance carer coupled with over 20 years of counseling experience provide the foundational knowledge, clinical experience, and compassion necessary to validate and empower women serving as caregivers for aging parents—often without the support needed to maintain their own mental health wellness.

I'm glad you are looking into counseling, it can take awhile to find the right therapist but its worth it. Are you struggling to balance your responsibilities and still find joy? Are depression, anxiety, the past, and or the future all getting in the way of you living the life you want in this present moment? Otherwise know as the human condition. We all have times when we need to explore and shift patterns and perspectives, and therapy is a great way to make these changes.

If you are troubled by upsetting memories, have experienced trauma, or find yourself repeating painful life patterns over and over, EMDR can help.
Life is ever changing and evolving. At times change brings with it a sense of excitement and joy, and at other times a turn of events leaves us disappointed, overwhelmed, sad, or disconnected from others and ourselves. Although therapy cannot stop the ups and downs of living, it can help us develop new strategies, new perceptions, and new behaviors that transform feelings of self-doubt and despair into resilient feelings of inner strength and fulfillment. I provide a safe, confidential and caring environment, and bring a heartfelt and genuine approach to support you in finding joy and inner peace.

"The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.
My best self feels just out of reach...what happened to me? Why am I so stuck? Anxiety, depression, grief, difficulty with boundaries or a general feeling of ungrounded self are common experiences. We can watch patterns repeat and often feel powerless in the process. We find ourselves in systems or roles that no long serve our highest selves. Present or past experiences might keep us from living life in a way that feels physically healthy, connected to others, and with purpose. You are ready to live in stronger connection with yourself and the people around you. You are courageous and honoring your natural growth.

There is a gap between the way you wish life would be and the reality of life. Anxiety and Depression are just overwhelming and it makes it hard to connect to loved ones, get daily tasks done, and think clearly. You notice yourself feeling so disconnected. And you are finding it hard to have the drive to get things done. Where is the joy in life? You remember enjoying things but now everyday is just gray. You want to be able to feel like the Real You again! Not hidden by anxiety and depression.

Everybody has a story. Authentic life stories provide a clear sense of purpose, direction, and meaning. But, when struggling, your story can be confusing and painful. Inauthentic stories can lead you down a path of damaged relationships, poor self care, and risky behavior. You can't always change the circumstances or the characters, but you can always change your role and personal narrative. If you're ready for a new chapter, I'm ready to help.

I believe the deepest healing is only possible when we rediscover a connection to the Life of Earth, and explore our embeddedness in our communities and world, both human and more-than-human.
I believe in the innate power each of us possesses to heal. Beginning with a gentle exploration of your story, your sense awareness and your feeling world, I seek to find a mutually agreed upon place to begin deeper work together. I hold close to embodiment (breath/gesture/sensation); creativity (playfulness/curiosity/possibility); and compassion (non-judgment/empathy/connection): all these are pathways to ground and support your healing process. I have found that depth of relationship itself is a healer, so I strive for a REAL, courageous relationship with my clients- capable of sustaining vulnerability, fierceness and deep transformations.

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
