My name is John Sundeen, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Ketchikan, AK and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with teens and adults specializing in anxiety, depression, addiction, and relationship issues, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness to help my clients find resolution to their problems and build the skills necessary to handle future challenges.
I find my style and approach works well with teens and adults alike who may be dealing with past trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, and social pressures. This may take the form of anxiety, depression, and stress. I work to help my clients navigate these challenges and to build skills to address future challenges.
My therapeutic approach varies based on the needs of the client I work with. I frequently utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness Therapy as these modalities help me and the client to build a shared understanding of their reality and allow us to develop a path forward.
