My name is Kelly Kopatich, LCSW and I am the owner and a therapist at Old Towne Counseling. My approach is client-centered offering a safe and professional space to those seeking and needing counseling services. I work with clients on identifying goals to support positive change and growth within their lives using modalities of Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solutions-Focused and Mindfulness. Services offered through telehealth or in-person sessions. The practice is currently accepting new clients and has multiple therapists on staff.

(Waitlist) I have been working in the field of social work since 2013 after graduating from USI with my Masters in Social Work, and currently practicing with my LCSW at Old Towne Counseling of Newburgh, LLC. I have experience working with individuals struggling with mental health and addiction, ranging from school aged children to adults of any age. I also specialize in marriage and family therapy. Working in a variety of settings has given me experience with a multitude of diagnoses and problems. I believe everyone deserves a second chance in life and to take back control over what was once lost.

I have been working in the field of mental health counseling and substance abuse treatment for more than 34 years, after graduating from the University of Missouri- Columbia with a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in Counseling Psychology. I am currently practicing with my LCAC at Old Towne Counseling of Newburgh, LLC., following my recent retirement from Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare/Stepping Stone after 30 years. I have experience working with individuals struggling with mental health, addiction, and relationship issues.

Sometimes therapists are called the "wounded healers" because from their own life experiences they have decided to help people. I am proud to be one of those therapists. I have had a wealth of life experiences and losses and can truly empathize with my clients. I have experience in many areas of Social Work; including housing homeless people, coordinating adoptions, and advocating for pre-adjudicated youth. As a Clinical Therapist, I have worked in Home Based Therapy, Community, Residential, and Addiction. I firmly believe that these varied populations and organizations have enriched my integrative approach to therapy.

I provide counseling services to adults 19 years of age and older.
