My approach to therapy is eclectic - I incorporate various treatment modalities and approaches into my work (mindfulness, CBT, DBT, etc.) and provide anti-oppressive, anti-racist and culturally responsive therapy. You don’t have to let anxiety, depression, trauma, work-related stress, relationships, or anything else keep you from moving toward your goals and the life you want. We all have different lived experiences, but regardless of your current stage in life, you are worthy of living your life to the fullest. I received my MA in counseling from Northwestern University where I was trained in psychodynamic therapy (a common form of talk therapy). However, I am also a trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist. I specialize in life transitions and know that any change, positive or not, can at times be difficult.

Each individual has a different journey to walk, filled with obstacles unique to one's life. I walk with individuals as they explore the depths of their life stories and the impact that has had on who they are presently. In addition to exploring one's past we also deal with the here and now and explore what's keeping one from living freely and more fully in the world. My hope is that through our work together individuals will be able to find more degrees of freedom in their life and their relationships. I specialize in depth-oriented, psychotherapy.

It must be addressed within the individual and their environment, and should include their cultural experiences, practices, and traditions, as well as their spirituality; this approach provides collective healing. I practice a holistic approach to providing therapeutic care. I integrate components of the mind, body, and spirit within therapeutic modalities to address the needs of each individual or family.
