As a counselor, my heart's desire is to help people find hope, as hope is the one thing that can help us get through the darkest of times. My personal journey is one of many losses restored, and reaching out with a listening heart is my joy and passion. With sensitivity and compassion, I help clients find solutions for arange of life challenges and psychological issues. In addition to therapy, I do life coaching. For years, I have lectured on change management and employer workplace issues. I have also worked directly with employees from manufacturing, medical fields, and academia to clarify, simplify and enhance their total life. In my work history prior to becoming a licensed therapist, I was a successful corporate executive.

Hi. My name is Gayle Lewis, and I am a Licensed Social Worker. My deepest passion is to help people heal from past experiences that have hindered growth and kept them from thriving emotionally, relationally, or professionally. I do this by taking a client-centered, strengths-based approach, listening with empathy and unconditional positive regard. While prioritizing your strengths and desires, I will walk alongside of you as we together, map out a pathway forward.

I strive to touch the lives of the people I serve in a way that leaves them feeling valued, respected, and better able to face their personal challenges and struggles. I work from a strength based perspective. This simply means I encourage people to reconnect with their inner strengths and passions learning to engage strengths and values more effectively. Basically, it is often a matter of identifying what is already working for an individual or family and doing more of it. Through our strengths, we have the best potential to overcome our challenges.

My work with individuals is rooted in curiosity, compassion, and skill building. I support clients in connecting with themselves while helping them understand how their history impacts their current relationships and their sense of self. I have many years of experience working with children and their caregivers. Our work together will involve play, attunement, and parent coaching. As a part of the therapeutic process, I collaborate with each child’s team to create a cohesive plan for children and their families.

I offer a warm, compassionate space for clients to explore inner struggles in order to achieve a fuller life. I believe in the importance of working through difficult early and current life experiences as a means to transform the story that we tell ourselves into a more empowering healing story. Many of the people that come to see me have in someway either lost their way in life and are tired of settling for the crumbs. Some come because of their lives have become out of balance and in some cases out of control in the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual areas. Others, because they are in a tremendous amount of emotional pain.
