Whether it's helping clients with depression decipher where their lack or misplaced motivation is coming from, finding ways to calm any level of anxiety (i.e. daily lingering anxiety to extreme levels where it feels crippling) that impacts a person on a daily life, understanding the levels of bi-polar and how to work with them, navigating familial issues such as divorce (teenage or adult children and parents), among other concerns!

The counselors at HOPE - Child and Family Counseling/Adolescent and Adult Therapy specialize in therapy to promote emotional healing across the lifespan. Amanda is currently a licensed professional counselor and preparing to take her clinical licensure exam. She enjoys working with individuals from 8-80. Her experience includes trainings and education in trauma, art, sand, and couples work. Her goal is to coach and in the future counsel individuals and couples with becoming certified in sex therapy and Gottman couples therapy. Amanda individualizes her clients plans and helps guide them to achieve their goals in whatever they are set out to accomplish.

Jesse Belle is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the Rockford area. She works with a variety of clients across the lifespan including children, adolescents and adults, and has worked as a therapist in child welfare, schools, and as a trauma educator. She takes a nurturing and strength-based approach to treat trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, self-harm, abuse, foster care and adoption, communication and social skill building, sibling issues, self-esteem issues, and attachment-related issues through uses of trauma-informed therapy, EMDR, play therapy, sand tray, mindfulness, movement, CBT, and evidence-based therapies.

Since I've received my master's degree I have provided mental health services in the Northern IL and Suburban Chicago as a Licensed Social Worker for over 30 years. I use cognitive/ behavioral therapy to provide, I found most current studies indicate that cognitive/ behavioral therapy is to be most effective for many mood disorders and panic disorders. I listen,interact, and provide you with the proper "tools" and education to help you help yourself to a more efficient, happier lifestyle.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Master's Degree in Applied Child and Family Studies with a Specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. I enjoy working with children, families, and individuals. I utilize a strength based and family systemic approach when working with youth, families, and individuals . I also utilize play therapy, expressive therapy, CBT, DBT, and AAIT to help people better develop skills to manage difficult problems. I believe in providing a healthy and safe environment to encourage internal growth.

I am a licensed clinical social worker, who is compassionate and supportive in helping you overcome life challenges. I am a big believer in your ability to persevere and overcome life's challenges and sit with you as an interactive listener, source of support and also a challenger of thoughts. I strongly believe in trauma-informed care and my specialties are in trauma, grief, cultural issues and adjustments, amongst other presenting issues.
