I am Norma Venable a Licensed Professional Counselor who has over 25 years of counseling experience and love helping others! My priority is to provide a therapeutic relationship in a safe, nonjudgmental, and confidential environment so you feel comfortable discussing your truth. My person-centered & integrative approach is customized to your specific needs. I utilize counseling from a positive, holistic, strength-based perspective of hope and growth through self-awareness and insights. I believe each of us is a unique individual with several differences that make us who we are so only we know the best solutions for ourselves.

We all have a story with puzzle pieces that we sometimes can't see how they fit. My hope and passion is to help identify how these pieces can be placed to help make sense of who we are and how we can fit them in to make us feel less confused. I have discovered that helping and healing is my calling and have worked on these puzzles with adults, families, couples, and young people. My hope and goal is to help individuals feel comfortable in a non-judgmental safe space to work through the difficulties they are experiencing towards their goals of self growth, and an encouraging atmosphere to help the individual not feel so alone.

After many years in multiple different employs within social work, I have settled in to a love for helping children, adolescents and young adults cope with life's stressors. I am equipped with individual and small group space and accepting new clients. I utilize several evidence based therapies, including, but not limited to cognitive behavioral (CBT), Mindfulness CBT, and Strengths based.

My social work journey began long ago when I taught at an inner-city school. My husband joined the Air Force and we have had the opportunity to live in six different states. We have four children. My youngest is adopted. Through the adoption experience, I learned so much about the different aspects of social work. I graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2022 with my MSW. I have experience in private practice, community mental health, and CASA.
