Many people suffer stress from past events, from childhood or later. My neurofeedback, biofeedback, and hypnosis can help reduce or eliminate that stress. I have t wo doctorates in clinical psychology (2012 and 2020) in addition to my certification in neurofeedback and hypnotherapy. I teach psychology at the Masters level at Antioch University in Santa Barbara so I'm really good at explaining what I do. I now have a Certificate in Sport Psychology! I enjoy working with individuals (18 or older) that are curious about themselves, reflective and who desire change. The therapeutic alliance or the relational 'good fit' stands out as the fundamental factor in effective treatment. I am interested in developmental issues in adults and addressing repetitive patterns that stand in the way of growth. My approach is psychoanalytic psychotherapy including attachment , mentalization and creativity based treatments.

Kimberly Prendergast, MA, LMFT has been assisting children, adolescents and families in crisis for over 20 years. She strongly believes in the power of hope and principles of recovery for the treatment of mental illness and substance use disorders. Her experience includes providing support to those navigating the criminal justice and educational systems as well as treatment within an inpatient psychiatric unit and in various outpatient and community settings.
