Hesed Counseling was founded by Kayla Moreno Vega, MSW, LCSW in 2023. Kayla created Hesed Counseling after seeing a need for therapists who specialize in trauma and neurodivergence. Children who are neurodivergent experience and perceive stress and trauma differently than their neurotypical peers, and therefore, should have care that is individualized to their unique needs. Kayla chose the name Hesed Counseling as the word Hesed encompasses the therapeutic style she brings to practice by being with, walking alongside, and healing together.

Children do not exist in solidarity, therefore, a holistic view of the family is considered in treatment for the child. I utilize a variety of session types including individual (children 5+), family, and caregiver collaterals to provide a specialized approach to each client as every family's needs are unique.

As an autistic individual, I understand firsthand, the struggles and barriers that neurodivergent clients face in their daily walk. I look forward to helping children and families feel empowered and heard as they work towards a happier and healthier version of themselves!
