I work well with people who find that patterns in their lives are leading to emotional distress or pain. Together we'll work toward understanding, self-knowledge, and growth. My aim is to help people enrich their relationships and live a life consistent with their values. In working through depression, anxiety, trauma, spiritual issues, relational issues, grief and loss, identity issues, or a multitude of other issues, I strive to demonstrate respect and understanding for each person's unique experience, while also using my training and experience to challenge problematic patterns and foster growth.
Many people come to me having experienced significant trauma. Trauma can be life-changing and can leave people feeling profoundly alone and unsafe. My aim is to create a safe relationship in which those feelings can be understood and where the ripple effects of trauma can begin to diminish.
The people who come to me are whole people, not just sets of symptoms. I strive to listen deeply to the whole person and the sources of meaning that inform my clients' lives. I believe that this focus allows for deeper understanding and change.
