In over 30 years of private practice with individuals, couples and families, I have engaged deeply in the varied ways people set out to heal. Prior to private practice, I obtained extensive inpatient experience in a psychiatric prison, an inpatient adolescent facility and the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center .

As a licensed professional counselor, my goal is to help individuals, couples, and families identify areas where change is needed to enhance growth, harmony, and balance in their lives. I take a holistic approach to therapy by incorporating a variety of therapeutic modalities into my practice including CBT, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Imago Therapy, DBT, Mindfulness Based Therapy (i.e., meditation, guided imagery, deep breathing), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Hypnotherapy, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and Animal Assisted Therapy.

I love my job as a therapist & working with my clients! You will find a great listener in me. I will help you, your children, & or teens (English or Spanish speaking) look for solutions, teach you skills & techniques using DBT, SFBT, & other therapies.
