I embrace a wellness model employing the DIR Floortime framework using play (following a person's lead and need) and semi-structured cooperative and collaborative games, to give people the opportunity to see themselves as not just the authors, but the heroes of their own stories, shifting the focus from pathology to potential.

My therapeutic philosophy is based on the quote from Albert Einstein, “Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” Many people let false beliefs about themselves hold them back from reaching self-actualization. Everyone deserves to reach the realization or fulfillment of one's talents and potentialities, but sometimes we find ourselves as the fish Einstein describes attempting to climb a tree because we let anxiety, depression, and past trauma become barriers to our fulfillment.

I thoroughly enjoy working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. As a licensed psychologist having worked at different settings and with different age groups, I appreciate the nuance that each person brings to the therapy room. I work collaboratively with clients to figure out the solutions that will best meet each individual’s specific needs. For some, that can mean implementing certain strategies and solutions, while others might require a closer look at one’s identity and close relationships to determine a good path forward.
