About
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling. I have served in the capacity of clinician, teacher, coach, and mentor to adults, adolescents, and children. I am the founder and CEO of two organizations (A Safe Space LLC and Camp Mdogo Kondo). A Safe Space LLC, is designed to eradicate the stigma of mental health in our communities by providing a safe space to share emotions and feelings. Camp Mdogo Kondo (Young Warriors), a youth summer camp for at-risk boys.
My counseling style is client-centered, focusing on building trust and rapport with each client. My therapeutic orientation is an eclectic style that utilizes, Client-Centered, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing.
I have experience in working with many populations and mental health concerns, including, emotional instability, anger management, drug and alcohol issues, stress, anxiety, depression, parenting issues, career concerns, racial trauma, and self-esteem issues. We will work to formulate treatment goals that are tailored for your unique and specific needs.
