I am a bilingual clinical license social worker and doctoral student specializing in Mental Health in the University of Kentucky- DSW online program. I received my bachelor's and master's degrees at the University of South Florida, where I also teach as an adjunct professor. I am also fluent in English and Spanish. As a therapist, I am dedicated to empowering individuals to succeed, and I feel the need to assist those who struggle with their mental health.

For more than 27 years, I have been fortunate to have a practice that focuses on a wide range of challenges that face children, adolescents, and adults. My work ranges from problem-focused approaches to parenting concerns to psychodynamic treatment of relationship struggles, anxiety, and depression. More recent work has focused on the stress and unique challenges surrounding adolescents' and young adults' transition to college and career.

Rena has a Master of Science in Marriage & Family Counseling from Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Guilford College. She has several years of experience in mental health, treating couples, adults, and children with various issues and disorders. Rena enjoys working with individuals from all walks of life, especially those with depression, anxiety, grief/loss, and trauma. Rena is warm, sincere, and has a nurturing and calming spirit. She utilizes mindfulness-based interventions, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution-focused modalities while tailoring treatment to each person.
