We often find ourselves seeking out treatment following a loss; loss of love, loss of identity, loss of independence, a loss of something, anything that mattered. Loss is a time when our life path gets altered and we need to set a new course for ourselves. I've been there and have experienced the initial and ongoing pain and confusion of not understanding the loss, but I've learned there's always a reason and it leaves us stronger and wiser than before.
My philosophy is that most of the current pain, suffering and conflict we experience, whether it be internal or external, is a just a continuation of our past that we have not resolved. We repeat the same patterns until we recognize and commit to change them.
