Life can sometimes feel and be very complicated. As a psychotherapist in private practice for 25 years, I work with adults, adolescents, families and couples. The way I approach working with people is to create a compassionate, intelligent, non-judgemental, therapeutic space where a person can feel safe, heard and understood. A person can then be more at ease with talking about their concerns and problems in an authentic and meaningful way. I welcome people from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities and family structures.
I completed my Masters Degree in Social Work from Columbia University. I have gone through modern psychoanalytic training at the prior New Jersey Center for Modern Psychoanalysis. I have also done many trainings in mood disorders, anxiety disorders, couples therapy, adolescent therapy, addictions, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and energy psychology. My practice is trauma informed.
My orientation blends psychodynamic, relational, cognitive behavioral, mind-body, trauma informed and mindfulness approaches to help people understand, accept, change and heal. The issues people come to therapy to get help with are depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship and family problems, addictions, communication and work concerns, parenting, child and family challenges.
