I earned my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology, Arlington Virginia campus. I was trained in forensic evaluation at the Institute of Law, Psychiatry, & Public Policy at University of Virginia. I received my internship training at Broughton Hospital in Morganton, North Carolina, where I specialized in clinical and forensic psychology. I received post-doctoral training in forensic psychology at West Central Georgia Regional Hospital in Columbus, Georgia, where I began an in-patient DBT program for the forensic units.
I have worked as a licensed clinical psychologist in community mental health settings, large group private practices, and inpatient psychiatric facilities where I have provided psychological assessment, case consultation, clinical supervision, and individual and group therapy.
My perspective on therapy is that it is important for me to meet you where you are, emotionally and mentally. You know yourself better than anyone else, so part of my job is to empower you to explore your knowledge of your world and your life. My plan is to equip you with some strategies to support that exploration.
