I have more than 30 years of experience working with clients who have anxiety, depression, eating disorders, or difficulties in their personal relationships or at work. In developing a therapeutic relationship with you, I aim to create a warm and safe environment in which to explore and understand the behavior, thought patterns and feelings that are a source of concern for you. I will develop with you an individualized approach that may draw upon traditional psychodynamic therapy or newer behavioral treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, and am a faculty member at the Center of the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia, where I teach ways of integrating psychodynamic and behavior techniques.
I will collaborate with you to develop the tools you need to gain the necessary insights, to manage painful emotions, to address behaviors that may be self-defeating and to gain self confidence so that you can achieve a more fulfilling life.
