Creating an Intuitive Life: Expanding Recovery
Recovering from eating disorder and body image issues is an effortful and purposeful journey. Throughout this journey various clinical services are needed, and this support group is designed to supplement individual therapy. This group is for adults who are already engaged in therapeutic treatment for eating disorder and body image issues, are looking to enhance the work that they have done in individual therapy by practicing with others, and would benefit from a safe environment with others who want to support their growth.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) provides four categories of skills to attend to our needs more effectively: Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation, and Distress Tolerance. DBT skills groups are offered to help participants gain control over their lives by changing how they handle themselves in difficult situations and relationships. By learning skills that adjust our behavior for the better, we give ourselves the best chance to meet our needs.
