I have a long track record of creating powerful results for my clients, with over ten years of experience in the field treating children, adults, couples and families.
When facing difficulties and challenges, seeking help is one of the strongest and most empowering steps one can take. Therapy is a great opportunity not only to learn how to function at our optimal level, but to finally put to rest what has blocked us from living a full and satisfying life. It is a safe space from which to build confidence, conquer fears and develop the tools necessary to manage and overcome obstacles we face within ourselves and our environments.

My ideal client is curious about themselves and the world and actively participates in the therapeutic process. I enjoy working with young adults and older adults, but I'm not limited to these populations. My ideal client is at a place of feeling "stuck" in their life. Whether that be a career transition, deciding on a college major, feeling lost in a relationship, or a new onset of symptoms. I am also comfortable with helping individuals unpack their past to understand their current habits. My ideal client wants to understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to develop self-awareness and self-compassion along the way.

I am not afraid to think outside the box, and I value collaboration, openness, and honesty in the counseling relationship.
My ideal client is someone who is serious about their treatment and puts in the effort. Counseling needs consistency, one of the main factors that lead to success. I have a lot of experience with clients struggling with cognitive distortions that result from several disorders. I have also helped clients with their goals when they want to change their cognition. I also work well with clients who view the counselor not as a magician and how the clients would view the counselor as a guide in their healing process.

Counseling can help you talk to other family members addressing issues of sexuality, and other challenges a relationship or individual can face.
Sometimes we can feel like we're stuck, lost and have to try to figure it out alone. I'm here to support you in redefining who you are and what you want. Create the life you truly deserve by working through the tough stuff and embracing your unique abilities. I believe that connection is what helps us to heal and grow. My practice is based on building an authentic connection with you in order to help you become empowered to reach your goals. I offer a safe space for traditionally marginalized groups including BIPOC and First and Second Generation Immigrants, to feel seen and heard.

I believe strongly that clients come in all different shapes and sizes and from different walks of life. Therefore, I do not have an ideal client, as my wish is to help anyone who needs it regardless of their experiences, needs, and goals. I welcome the experiences I will gain from having diverse clients.

I believe one of the most important aspects of treatment is the therapeutic alliance and that this relationship is built on empathy, collaboration, and authenticity.
I thrive when working with young women. Whether they’re struggling with school-related stress or struggling to process a breakup, I can quickly build rapport with folks in this demographic. My treatment plans include goals dedicated to helping people identify their triggers for emotional dysregulation. I believe in the importance of somatic and cognitive level wellness strategies and work to have my clients learn and implement both sets of skills. I have enjoyed working with a variety of diagnoses, including adjustment disorder, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and PTSD.

I am trained in many trauma focused therapies that facilitate this deeper healing process - EMDR, Internal Family Systems, NARM, Somatic Experiencing-but above all consider myself to be a relational and relatable therapist who prioritizes the relationship with my clients as the primary healing agent.
Are you tired of experiencing the same patterns and want to heal at the root of your symptoms? I specialize in treating trauma, addictions, and self esteem issues - in particularly with women and teenagers. When my clients first come in, their lives are overrun by fear and insecurities. They carry around deep shame about who they are and never feel quite “good enough”. They want to be confident and heal the patterns that are holding them back but do not know where to start.

My ideal client is someone who actively participates in therapy sessions, demonstrating a commitment to their personal growth and well-being. While there may not be an ideal set of issues, I appreciate a client who is open to exploring and addressing the challenges they are facing, fostering a collaborative and honest therapeutic relationship. The ideal client is someone with a goal-oriented mindset. I value a client who sees therapy as a means to gain self-awareness and understanding.

My approach to therapy is based in a strong, trusting, and honest relationship with my client.
Maybe things haven't been going well for you recently. Perhaps there are some unresolved relationship or personal issues that are keeping you from having the life you envision for yourself and are causing you to feel depressed or anxious. Maybe you feel stuck in old patterns that you know are holding you back and just can't figure out how to make the necessary changes but you are motivated and ready to get to work. I can offer you a safe, non judgmental place to explore what is holding you back or causing you pain so that you can feel better.

Couples Counseling Therapists

Does couples counseling work?

Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?

Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?

The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?

The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
