Life, work, relationships and family issues can create challenges that sometimes feel overwhelming. I can help! My approach is to offer empathy, insight and new strategies, in a warm, supportive setting. The clinical practices I use are grounded in Positive Psychology and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My goal is to help you cultivate strengths, improve functioning, enhance satisfaction in your relationships and increase your overall sense of happiness and well being. I teach strategies that make things more manageable and help you feel like you're in charge of your life again!
I use EMDR (for dealing with trauma), CBT, insight-oriented, attachment-based psychotherapy, and IFS. I teach EFT TAPPING, breathing practices, guided imagery and other relaxation tools, as well as meditation. Anxiety, ADHD, stress management, OCD, depression, family and marital concerns, self esteem and academic issues, are my areas of expertise.
As a former manager of CONCERN: EAP at Morristown Medical Center, my focus has always been to help people make changes quickly. My goal is to provide the confidence and "psychological tool belt" to deal with present and future challenges. I’m an Adjunct Professor at NYU and work with children, adolescents and adults, and see couples, as well as families.
