My goal is to help individuals accept and trust themselves and to feel valued being themselves. I have worked alongside LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, those within the criminal justice system, and intersecting identities. I have a background in supporting individuals who experience depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, and schizophrenia. My name is Stephanie Norris and I am conveniently located in Centennial and Littleton! I utilize an integrative, individualized treatment approach, drawing from cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing, and family systems theories. As such, I believe in providing goal-directed treatment. This means that we develop treatment goals together, after a thorough assessment. All treatment is then planned around progressing toward the achievement of the established treatment goal(s). We work together to uncover what is holding you back. In this process there are often images, myths or dreams that show up and that help guide change process. I encourage and support clients to explore the hidden gifts found in the shadow places in their lives and help them shed light on the purpose of old patterns before replacing them with something new and more effective.

With 25 counselors here at The Golden Wellness Center, we are able to see and specialize in Children, Adolescents, Adults, and Couples. We also have certified Psychedelic Assisted Therapist on staff as well. We help the local community here in Golden and surrounding area with their mental health and getting to the best version they can be in life.

In addition, I volunteer as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children and am certified as a Child and Family Investigator.
