As a clinician in the field for over 7 years, I have been proud to serve individuals and families with a variety of issues. Over the years I have worked with many people dealing with depression (incl: postpartum), anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, military issues, PTSD, anger, couples/relational issues, child and adolescent issues, stage of life or adjustment issues, gender or sexuality issues, chronic pain, grief and loss, personality disorders, and substance abuse issues. My clientele range from ages 7 up to people in their 80s and have included a great diversity of cultures.

As a multiracial, queer woman of indigenous descent (reconnecting) I am passionate about decolonizing mental healthcare and sex therapy in supporting diverse clients in reaching their therapeutic goals. I love working with diverse individuals and relationships including BIPOC, lgbtqia2s+, neurodivergent, kink/bdsm, and expansive relational approaches. We all need to be seen, loved, and understood in supportive relationships-including our therapeutic relationship. Some specific areas of interest in my practice are sexual issues/exploration, gender, identities, embodiment, problematic behaviors, life changes, and congruence.

I have over 40 years of experience working with a wide variety of clients, a wide range of issues and ages ranging from adolescence to the elderly. I have worked in multiple Mental Health and Substance Abuse treatment settings both inpatient and outpatient. I have run various types of Mental Health Programs, EAP services, and co-owned several group practices. In particular, I work with aduts, couples, families, and adolescents experiencing problems including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, job/work/career concerns, and school performance issues. I also utilize many strategies /tools from the John Gottman method.

In couples therapy, I use Emotion-Focused and Gottman approaches to help partners learn to manage and repair conflict, rebuild trust and intimacy, and build emotional connections. In family treatment, I'll work with your family to develop adaptive and healthy communication patterns, as well as address parenting concerns and behavioral issues.

I also apply art and play therapy techniques with children and adults. Often I will give homework assignments and offer reading resources. I am trained in the use of EMDR and use EMDR techniques and processes.
