As a counselor, it is my desire to provide a caring and safe environment where individuals and couples can discuss, explore, and resolve issues of concern in their lives. Areas of concern can be as simple as a feeling of being "stuck", dealing with specific difficulties in life, a desire for more fulfilling relationships, or assistance in navigating a time of change or transition. As a compassionate listener, my practice is based on a Person Centered approach to counseling. I consider each client to have their own unique life story and experiences and tailor my approach to their specific counseling needs, interests, and desires.
My practice is not limited to those with religious and/or spiritual beliefs. However, I am a Christian and where desired by clients I integrate Christian and Biblical principles in my practice. These values include the inherent value and worth of each person and the need for grace and forgiveness in each of our lives.
I view each person as unique with their own life story, experience, and life journey. My desire is to help each client gain understanding with regard to their purpose, their own personal circumstances, and find strength and coping skills to deal with life's challenges.
