From the outside, it seems like you have it all together. You manage a full plate and somehow make it look easy. But inside, you’re worn out—constantly 'doing' and still feeling like it’s not enough. Your mind is in overdrive, stuck in a loop of replaying conversations, planning 5 steps ahead, and trying to make sure everyone else is okay. You’re the dependable one, yet asking for help feels burdensome. If you’re a perfectionist, a people-pleaser, or just tired of performing - let's find rest together. Therapy can help you understand and change the patterns that keep you stuck, and move you toward a place of confidence and peace.

My specialties include: Lesbian relationship counseling - Pre-marital, or “next-step” relationship counseling - Those in transition (new parents, "empty-nesters", separation/divorce/new parental relationship, career change) - Grief and loss - Self-esteem - Boundaries
If you are like many of my clients, you might want to rekindle lost feelings or deepen the connection you already have with your partner or other loved one. Maybe you weren't given a blueprint for a healthy relationship- you know what you DON'T want, but don't exactly know how to manifest what you DO want. You might be a "helper", have a hard time saying "no", and find yourself feeling used up and burned out. You might be looking for healing, balance, and a better understanding of who you are after a big loss or other major life change. You might be queer, or questioning your sexuality, and want support in exploring your identity.

I enjoy supporting folks who struggle with complex trauma, anxiety, ADHD, low self-worth, and maintaining self-regulation.
As both a therapist and a fellow human, I know how difficult it can be to navigate life with extra challenges such as complex identity and neurodivergence. I believe we can thrive regardless, despite what society has conditioned us to believe. My approach leans into warmth and humility while helping clients re-connect with their inherent worth, heal the impact of the past, and learn to regulate. I will help you explore the life experiences and narratives that challenge you showing up exactly as you are, and guide you towards the healing, authenticity, and wellness you deserve.

Through therapy we are able to start at the goal of how we want to feel and/or behave and work backwards by creating specific steps to get there. I hold a few beliefs through my practice and these include: 1.The person you spend the most time with is yourself so how we talk to and about ourselves matters. 2. We get the best results when we look at all aspects of health including physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, social, and all others. and 3. We can not stop all bad things and pain from happening in life. We can work hard to cope with them in a way that is effective for us. I look forward to hearing your story.

I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, eating disorders, personality disorders, and low self-esteem.
I believe all psychological symptoms serve a function, such as regulating emotions, avoiding distress, or maintaining interpersonal connections. In therapy, we will identify the functions of your symptoms and find healthier ways for you to meet your needs. This often involves exploring the interpersonal contexts in which your symptoms developed and are maintained. In this way, we will identify what's getting you stuck and make way for you to have new emotional and interpersonal experiences. My therapeutic style is collaborative, warm, curious, and empathic.

Self Esteem Therapists
When should a person seek therapy for low self-esteem?
When self-esteem problems begin to disrupt the healthy daily functioning of an individual, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not engaging with friends for fear of being judged, not completing work assignments because they don’t think they’re capable, or not finding romantic love because they don’t feel they’re worthy of it, a therapist may be able to help.

What are the signs of low self-esteem?
Low self-esteem is a common issue that can affect a person's mental and emotional well-being. Some common signs of low self-esteem include negative self-talk, perfectionism, social anxiety, difficulty making decisions, an inability to set boundaries, people-pleasing, and others. A lack of belief in oneself or one’s abilities and a feeling of not being worthy or deserving underlie most of these characteristics.

What causes low self-esteem?
Feelings of low self-worth can begin in childhood or adulthood. Being raised by a highly critical parent or growing up feeling constant disapproval can stay with a person well into adulthood. Specific issues in adulthood may also be a cause of low self-esteem. An unhappy relationship, a dysfunctional work or school experience can impact a person’s feelings of self-worth.

How can therapy improve self-esteem?
Therapists can help identify negative thought patterns that keep the client stuck in a loop of destructive self-talk and develop coping skills to change the voice in their head. A therapist can help with goal-setting, so that clients are better able to stay on task and build confidence from successfully completing work they’re proud of. Coaching a client on how to better communicate can improve relationships. These skills can result in someone with low self-esteem feeling empowered and living with less fear.
