I am certified in Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) where I provide parents with the tools to approach their children with love, empathy and kindness, resisting the tendency to be punitive. With over 15 years of experience working with adults, teens, children and families, I can help you make the needed changes in your life. I also acknowledge that other variables come into view when examining mental health, such as environmental factors, marginalization, and stigma. I aim to approach your care with an empathic consideration of these factors. Thus, I am tasked with assisting and collaborating with you towards a greater sense of ease and comfort.

I work with people who want to make positive changes, but feel paralyzed by stress, fear, indecision, or old habits. I can also help you learn concrete strategies for managing uncomfortable thoughts, emotions, transitions, health conditions or problematic relationships.

My primary experience is working with children and adolescents and their families in coping with life's stressors, more significant mental health symptoms, and developing more effective coping styles and communication patterns. In treatment, it is my goal to work alongside your child and you to find resources and coping skills to handle overwhelming experiences which are impacting you and your child's functioning. My dog Sammy, a therapy dog, is present during most sessions and can help support children suffering from anxiety around coming to therapy and providing a safe place to process difficult emotions.

I provide psychological, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological evaluations to children and adults in English, Cantonese, or Mandarin. Most clients seek evaluations due to inattention (ADHD), mood disorders, anxiety, learning difficulties, social communication differences (ASD), and challenges at work, school, or home. I emphasize the impact of sociocultural factors on the examinee's symptoms, experiences, and functioning. The goals of an evaluation are to clarify the diagnosis and offer recommendations to improve one's functioning. I also offer immigration-related (including N-648) and independent education evaluations (IEEs).
