About
Trained in family systems theory with an emphasis on the whole person, I will work with you to develop insight into all aspects of your life. I am certified in Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) where I provide parents with the tools to approach their children with love, empathy and kindness, resisting the tendency to be punitive. With over 15 years of experience working with adults, teens, children and families, I can help you make the needed changes in your life. Change is within your grasp and begins with us working together to shift your thoughts, emotions and behaviors.
Over the span of my career, I've worked at Children's Hospital, outpatient programs, schools and private practice. I have provided clinical supervision and management of therapy programs at Easter Seals, Alternative Family Services and West Coast Children's Clinic. I am a strong advocate for my clients and work collaboratively to effect change.
I am passionate about working with clients struggling from trauma or disability, especially helping families to move forward. I also have a special interest in teaching and have taught "Theories of Individual Counseling" to graduate students in Los Angeles focusing on psychoanalytic, cognitive-behavioral and Gestalt therapy.
