My primary goal as a therapist is to foster a safe, supportive, accepting and also challenging space that encourages personal growth and healing for each of my clients. To achieve this, I use an integrative treatment approach, grounded in psychodynamic and interpersonal theories, that encourages mindful self-reflection on internal experiences, authentic expression of affect and a benign curiosity about our personal experiences. My experience and training have made me comfortable working with a range of mental health concerns and a diversity of cultural backgrounds.

I am somatically trained and specialize in trauma, complex ptsd, people pleasing and neurodivergence. I work with adult individuals and couples. Daily functioning can be impaired with intrusive thoughts, experiencing out of body sensations, loneliness, fear of disappointing others, lack of trust, feeling misunderstood, "too much" or "not enough", told you are too sensitive and struggle with deep connection and intimacy. Change is desired and often looks like slowing down, ability to be more present, feeling grounded, peaceful, less anxious, less activation. Safe.

At TMS Health and Wellness we specialize in the relief of symptoms caused by major depressive disorder, anxiety, grief, addiction and obsessive compulsive disorder through TMS Therapy. TMS is now covered by most Insurances and Medicare.

I am fully engaged in recovery work because i believe in the meaningful and important mission of helping people find their way back to a life before addiction or find the kind of fulfillment they need to achieve sobriety.

My clients are often high-achievers - the “good” person/student, the one who is always there for others, who is always “fine” and doesn’t seem to have any problems - but that’s not how they feel. On the inside, they are hurting deeply. They push down their own feelings and needs resulting in things like numbness, anxiety, depression, and being self-silenced. They may even develop addictive or self-destructive behaviors to try to feel a sense of control. They find putting words to emotions and communicating feelings and needs to others can be difficult or even seem impossible.

I specialize in working with the LGBTQ community, their allies, kink and polyamorous communities. My past and current work involves life changing medical diagnosis, questions surrounding sexuality and gender, and couples working through whether to get married, stay together, navigating separation with families, and healing relationship wounds. I founded The Nest Counseling Center to provide opportunities for Associate Therapists to continue their education in providing therapy to the LGBTQ Community.

I primarily work with clients to process the emotions of daily life. I find that taking an hour to focus on yourself each week can build emotional resilience and make life a bit easier. As an LMFT, I have been practicing for over 18-years and traditionally from a psychodynamic approach, however, I have transitioned to a multifaceted approach -incorporating traditional therapy with EMDR, Somatic experiencing, Performance Psychology, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy & Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy (HCH). I strongly believe in the integrative connection between mind and body as well as using complementary and alternative practices including food/nutrition, stress management, exercise, and supplementation to bolster and empower the healing process.

I find my work with clients to be both a calling and a profound privilege. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and completed my M.S. in Counseling at Hope International University.
