Life can feel unbelievably challenging and overwhelming at times and you don't have to do it alone. I have worked with individuals and families who have experienced complex trauma, loss, adoption, and other challenges. Trauma can impact many areas of our lives including our relationships, our ability to cope, how we function, and how we see and navigate the world. My approach to therapy is to help people heal and work through their life experiences. My expertise is working with individuals, children, families, and couples. I work with clients of all ages. My experience comes from working in rural communities, providing 10 years of psychotherapy, training other clinicians, and providing integrative care. I use CBT, mindfulness, trauma-informed CBT, brain-spotting, EMDR, play therapy, and other modalities.

There are seasons of our lives where we may feel lost or hopeless, and unsure how to move forward. I truly believe everyone has the strength and ability to find healing and peace. My passion is to create an emotionally safe and supportive environment to support you through your brave journey.

Some of the main challenges I assist clients in overcoming include: feelings of hopelessness, fears about the future, feelings of distraction from past traumas, anger or shame over behaviors or addictions, challenges of being “stuck” and difficulties managing overwhelming emotions. I have the most experience treating adults with addiction, depression, anxiety, domestic violence, trauma, shame, grief, to name a few.

Sometimes we feel emotionally numb because of past or present experiences. Maybe the memory of your experiences trigger discomfort, isolation, or thoughts of regret, & you’re tired of being controlled by your past. You want to feel happy & show-up fully for your friends, family, & partner, but you just can’t seem to shake it off enough to be present. I am here to face the struggle with you & to tell you that depression, anxiety & trauma are highly treatable. Reaching out can be scary and unsettling, but you don't have to do it alone.

It is my joy to work with teens, college students, adults and seniors. Common within these periods of life can be intense life transitions, loss and change. The journey through these stages can be full of tremendous amounts of pain, but are also unique opportunities to grow and develop new coping skills and strengths. I am a Certified Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist (CBT), specializing in trauma and grief, as well as a Dialectical Behavioral Therapist (DBT), specializing in managing stress, regulating emotions and improving relationships, which means I help you understand and work through your thoughts, feelings and behaviors, while learning to make permanent, positive life changes! I am also a specialist in treating ADHD.
