Some of the main challenges I assist clients in overcoming include: feelings of hopelessness, fears about the future, feelings of distraction from past traumas, anger or shame over behaviors or addictions, challenges of being “stuck” and difficulties managing overwhelming emotions. I have the most experience treating adults with addiction, depression, anxiety, domestic violence, trauma, shame, grief, to name a few.
I believe the impact of biological, psychological, social, and spiritual/purpose areas interrelate and contribute to changes in mood, thought, and behavior. I use approaches from different theoretical frameworks with a focus on thinking pattern, mindfulness, psychoanalysis, psycho-education, parts work, and emotion regulation skill building.
There are times in our lives where the challenges we face can be overwhelming—we may feel despair or hopelessness, or may discover unmanageable behaviors or emotions. It is my goal to help individuals return from unmanageable to manageable, from despairing to hopeful, and from overwhelmed to peace-filled, from a divided-self to integrated.
