Brandon Thoma, LPC 2015035432. My focus is on your overall wellbeing and feelings of life fulfillment. I believe that you come first in the therapy process and are most successful when met with unwavering support. My therapeutic approach focuses on Person Centered and Existential Therapy with other effective techniques from Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, and CBT. I primarily work with adults and teenagers who struggle with depression, anxiety, and relationships. However, I also have experience with other severe mental illnesses, substance abuse, and trauma.
I have a very laid-back feel to my sessions. I often say that while I am solution focused, I will talk about everything and nothing in session. I make it feel that we can talk about any topic during a session in order for the client to be relaxed and comfortable. Therapy is about Conversation and Connection. Let's talk!
I can say that my initial feelings to be a therapist was a curiosity to want to learn why people do what they do and to assist them towards their goals. But now what drives me is not to help people feel better, but to assist people to be better at feeling, and understanding themselves.
