Christy is a Licensed Associate Counselor in the North Phoenix area. She works with children, adolescents, and adults. Many of Christy’s clients come in when they have a variety of challenges including but not limited to unprocessed trauma, childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, or adjustment challenges. Christy is particularly passionate about serving clients with unresolved trauma. She has advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and Structural Dissociation.

As a therapist, my deepest passion lies in guiding individuals through their healing journey and helping them uncover their true selves. There's nothing more fulfilling to me than accompanying people on this transformative path, supporting them as they heal from past wounds and tap into their inner strengths. Valori grew up as an Air Force Brat and was fortunate enough to live in Europe for ten years. At an early age she was able to learn how to identify with people from different parts of the world in order to adapt and make friends. She was also a scholar athlete and was able to fulfill the demands and endure the pressure of performance. She began her career as a child development specialist working with children with developmental delays and caregivers with mental health diagnoses. After almost 15 years in the field she has worked with all ages and all levels of functioning.

I am experienced working with individuals and couples in navigating issues related to depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, abuse, gender identity and expression, family relationships, communication, self-worth, sexuality, and intimacy. My therapeutic style focuses on building connections, emotional expressiveness, and developing self-worth in my clients. Being our true selves in every aspect of our life, including being open and honest about our feelings in a safe environment, is a prerequisite for healing.

I do believe that change happens when people are given the guidance they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential to live fulfilling, happy lives. I bring years of experience working with adolescent and adult individuals struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex PTSD (C-PTSD), eating disorders, anxiety/depression, grief, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (OCD).
