Alex Levitan is the lead Psychologist and Clinical Director of Levitan & Associates Psychological Services where he is responsible for organizing and overseeing all providers and programs within the agency. Outside of his responsibilities with LAPS, Dr. Levitan also provides individual counseling, clinical and forensic evaluations, and psychological consultations for various nonprofit organizations including state and local hospitals, veterans’ health services, and the department of child safety. Elijah Garcia is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 9 years of experience in the mental health field. She is passionate and dedicated to working with adolescents, young teenagers and adults to address their unique daily challenges. Elijah understands the demand for advocacy, support and skill building through the specialization in anxiety, depression, family conflicts, history of trauma, abuse, grief, relationships, self-esteem, and everyday distress.

My approach with clients is to remain person-centered and provide a safe place to address mental health needs. I use a trauma-informed approach for many of my clients because I am keenly aware that past events often influence the choices we make today. If you are experiencing traumatic stress, grief, or addiction, the methods I use can help alleviate the stress and anxiety that occur with these issues. My work also includes treating traumatic stress with first responders and military veterans using bi-lateral stimulation techniques found in EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy. I'm a licensed LPC and LISAC with the AZBBHE.

I work with clients throughout the course of the life span. I have skills for working with both youth and adults. I have been working in the helping professions since 2003. And a licensed provider from 2011. I personalized the treatment to each client and each need. I offer both long term and short term treatment options: EMDR, ACT, DBT, TF-CBT, CBT, Hypnotherapy, Play Therapy, SandTray Therapy, and Solution Focused Interviewing.

I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and completed my undergraduate work at Arizona State University. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Family Resources and Human Development and a minor in Psychology. I then moved to Washington, where I practiced social work with at-risk preschoolers, teens and families for approximately three years prior to pursuing my Master's degree. I obtained my Master's in Social Work from Arizona State University with a specialization in Child Welfare and have been serving children and families since 1999. I am currently licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in Arizona.

Humans are by nature social animals and yet many of us have lost connection within ourselves and our community. I believe this is due, in part, to a frantic world that has led to relational trauma, a poor sense of self, health challenges, addiction, loss and isolation. Feeling relevant, finding meaning, having a mission, knowing joy and learning emotional regulation/tolerance/resiliency are ways in which we can heal ourselves and the world at large. I work with individuals (adults only) and couples.

Zulema has a background in human development, family studies and clinical social work. She has worked in social services for the last eleven years. She has extensive experience working with individuals of all ages and is a native Spanish speaker. She is passionate about the mind-body connection and helping individuals become more in tune to themselves. Her counseling approach is predominantly holistic, strengths-based and culturally sensitive. She honors the importance of partnering with individuals to become an active force in their treatment and help them achieve their goal.

It is important that you remember that growth and healing is not about fixing what is “wrong” with you because you are not broken. Instead of fixing, our time together will be an exploration of all parts of you, one of curiosity and compassion, designed to unearth and liberate the wisdom that already exists inside of you.
