External relational conflict occurs between spouses, friends, family, colleagues, and others. Internal relational conflict occurs between us and things like food, our bodies, and sense of self-worth.

My greatest reward as a counselor is helping my clients explore ways to make changes in their lives that will allow them to look forward to the future with hope. I hold a Master Degree in Community Counseling and am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am also a Certified Trauma Professional. I have worked in the behavioral health field with children and adults since 2001.

Hi there, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your healing journey. I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Arizona, with experience implementing the mind body connection as it relates to trauma. I implement Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems Parts work, EMDR and Motivational Interviewing. I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and enjoy teaching and practicing DBT skills in sessions. As a psychotherapist, I’ve learned pain can be released, trauma can be resolved and healing is your birthright.

Dr. Littleford was raised in Minnesota and graduated from Bethel College in St. Paul in 1978. All of his graduate coursework was taken at Texas Tech University, and he earned a doctorate in counseling psychology in 1986. The dissertation was based upon research with widowed persons, and his graduate minor was marital and family therapy. His internship was at the Tucson Veterans Administration Medical Center. He is licensed to practice psychology in the states of Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado. The primary clinical orientation of Dr. Littleford is cognitive-behavioral therapy, with strong influences from Adlerian psychology.

I am currently accepting new clients. I specialize in working with couples, teens, and adults. I believe that attachment and connection is the most powerful emotion in humans, which makes me passionate about working with all types of relationships. I specialize in assisting couples navigate challenges including: communication, conflict resolution, trust and infidelity, resentments & premarital therapy. I also have an understanding of the developmental challenges faced by teenagers. In my work with adults and teens, I specialize in addressing: trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, & life transitions.

I am a Licensed Social Worker with a passion for decreasing the stigma surrounding mental health and promoting the health and well being of my clients. For my undergraduate degree, I moved from Central Jersey (Yes! It exists!) to South Jersey to attend Stockton University. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work with a Minor in Behavioral Neuroscience from Stockton, and then moved on to attend graduate school in Philadelphia. I received my Master of Social Work Degree with a clinical concentration from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice in May of 2020.

I provide individual and family therapy to address client and family social, emotional and behavioral concerns. I am specialized in working with victim trauma, general mental health problems, substance abuse, chronic behavioral health problems, and youth with sexually maladaptive behavior issues.
