I am a licensed professional bilingual counselor with 20 years of experience. I ran my private practice in Mexico since 2001 and moved to the US on 2005. I have extensive experience providing psychotherapy to individuals all ages with behavioral and emotional issues. I like to focus on understanding how our past experiences impact our behavior and the way we relate to others in the present. I have additional training in nutritional psychology and integrative medicine for mental health. Integrative medicine is a whole-body approach that refers to a combination of conventional and alternative methods.
Self knowledge leads to better functioning, and understanding the unconscious reasons for our behaviors can lead to a more thoughtful and healthy response to every day situations. I was originally trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, but I may employ other techniques depending on client's needs.
I am a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider (CMHIMP) and utilize these techniques from a psycho educational perspective. I am not a dietitian or a medical doctor. From an integrative point of view, I may provide information of dietary/nutritional supplementation and specific food choices that can help you achieve your goals.
