I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 25 years of experience helping clients to discover and follow their own pathway for healing, growth and fulfillment. I provide a non-judgmental perspective and focus on developing a compassionate and caring relationship with those I work with.

I want my clients to be able to vent about their past traumas, unresolved life experiences, and interpersonal relationships, etc.

As a therapist, I am passionate about helping others learn to care for themselves and curate the future they desire, no matter their beginnings. Currently, I am working towards certification in Cognitive Processing Therapy.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Arkansas. I offer individual therapy and enjoy working with individuals, teens, and young adults. I believe in working with clients using a holistic therapy approach to problems and will utilize a blend of evidence based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Interpersonal theory. Additionally, I am nationally trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Ideal client, would be an adolescent, who would be open to talk therapy, they engage with therapist a lot and their issues could be anxiety, depression or work issues but they are willing to put in the work.

If we encounter problems outside my areas of expertise, I can provide seamless referrals, including testing and medication management, to get you the needed help.

My path to becoming a therapist was more of a calling than a career decision. I’m not particularly suited to this profession. I’m introverted, which causes me to present as somewhat unfriendly and aloof to strangers. I’m really not concerned with small talk or what I consider the superficialities of life. But when it comes to exploring the deepest, most difficult and painful core aspects of your life that’s the space where I feel most comfortable. The foundation of my practice is my own personal journey in 12-step recovery. I would say I was "chosen" for the gift of recovery from a self-destructive lifestyle more than 34 years ago.

Going through traumatic experiences can have a serious impact on one's life. The consequences of trauma can lead to poor functioning & disruption in daily routines, relationships, work, & overall sense of wellbeing. It can lead to difficulties in regulating emotions & coping with stress.
