I am a multi-degreed Chicago native, who graduated from ASU with an Education Specialist Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a passion for community and helping others obtain total wellness. I enjoy working with varied populations, i.e., families, couples, adolescents, children, young adults, multicultural populations, and passionately strives, through therapeutic support, to effectively address personal life challenges. I feel proficient in working with anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviors, relationship challenges, self-esteem, trauma, SMIs, and LGBTQIA+ social, individual/community relationship issues.

I have worked in the field of psychology for 14 years and have followed a natural calling into clinical mental health counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Arkansas. I offer individual therapy and enjoy working with individuals, teens, and young adults. I believe in working with clients using a holistic therapy approach to problems and will utilize a blend of evidence based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Interpersonal theory. Additionally, I am nationally trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

My path to becoming a therapist was more of a calling than a career decision. I’m not particularly suited to this profession. I’m introverted, which causes me to present as somewhat unfriendly and aloof to strangers. I’m really not concerned with small talk or what I consider the superficialities of life. But when it comes to exploring the deepest, most difficult and painful core aspects of your life that’s the space where I feel most comfortable. The foundation of my practice is my own personal journey in 12-step recovery. I would say I was "chosen" for the gift of recovery from a self-destructive lifestyle more than 34 years ago.

With extensive experience working with individuals of all ages, I have a meaningful understanding of the unique challenges and developmental stages faced by adults, children, and adolescents. Whether you're an adult seeking personal growth, a parent navigating family dynamics, or a teenager facing the complexities of adolescence, I am committed to providing compassionate and effective therapeutic support.
