Most of my clients come to me at a point in their life where they no longer recognize themselves or their relationships. This issue is typically their subconscious letting them know that how they've been living is no longer conducive on their journey of growth and success. Dr. Markert is a licensed clinical psychologist, with a B.A. from Emory University, Masters degrees from the University of Michigan and the University of Toledo, and a PhD from the University of Toledo. She did her internship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Medical School. She provides assessment of mood disorders, ADHD, and cognitive problems related to school performance. Her training is in Cognitive-Behavioral and Dialectical Behavior Therapies. Dr. Markert works in therapy with adolescents and adults with a wide variety of psychological problems including: Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Adjustment Disorder, and Post-partum anxiety and depression.

We treat children, adolescents and adults with behavioral issues, mood disorders, developmental and personality disorders. I work with parents to develop behavioral plans for their homes and families to supplement the therapy done with their children/adolescents in my office.
