I help young adults struggling with anxiety, ADHD, life transitions, perfectionism, and relationship issues to cope with emotional stressors, gain insight, improve self-confidence, and create small yet meaningful mindset shifts so they can move through life with greater ease and enjoyment.
Finding “the right match” often creates additional stress when deciding to start therapy, and for good reason: we want to feel connected to the person we’ll speak to on a weekly basis. We want to feel seen and understood, especially in our most vulnerable state. As a New York-based psychotherapist and art therapist, I enjoy the process of getting to know my clients and recognize that a solid relationship is essential for personal growth in therapy. I bring empathy, warmth, and a healthy dose of humor to the therapy space to connect with my clients and foster an environment that feels safe, authentic, and supportive.

I believe that all individuals can achieve growth, resiliency, and optimal potential despite and sometimes because of their challenges. In addition to working with individuals with anxiety, depression, and ADHD, I have worked with medically and neurologically complex individuals though my clinical psychology Ph.D. program, which had a health emphasis, as well as my practicum experiences at major hospitals throughout the NYC area and my pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where I obtained specialized training in cognitive remediation.

I evaluate individuals with neurological conditions (stroke, dementia, brain injury, hydrocephalus), complex medical comorbidities (infectious diseases, autoimmune disorders, chronic pain), neurodevelopmental disorders (learning disorders, ADHD), and psychiatric disorders.
Many conditions can affect our cognition, interfering with skills such as learning, memory, attention, problem solving, planning, or processing information. Neuropsychology is focused on understanding how brain health impacts cognition and behavior and using that information to make or clarify a diagnosis, develop an appropriate treatment plan, and/or monitor cognitive abilities over time.

We work with depression, anxiety, bipolar, PTSD, eating disorders, bereavement, BPD, autism, ADHD, addiction, sexual abuse, DV, medical illnesses, relationship problems, LGTBQ+, adjustment disorders and forensic cases.
Footprints was started by a therapist who realized that often times the services provided to low socio-economic communities is lacking quality care. We noticed these communities were confronted with long wait times, disrespectful admins, and subpar treatment. The one and only purpose was to exploit the community for profit without providing the level of care deserved. Feel Better Therapy began from the inspiration to provide quality mental health care to the poorest of communities and treating the clients of this community the same way a rich patient would be treated in a clinic treating affluent clients.

Psychoeducational and neuropsychological evaluations help to identify learning disabilities, ADHD, and emotional problems.
I am a firm believer in encouraging positivity, bolstering self-efficacy, and cultivating independence in others. My typical client is a child, adolescent, or young adult (age 3 to 29) who may be struggling academically, socially, or with developing effective emotional coping skills. Often, the individuals I see have difficulty with attention, concentration, organization, and with meeting the daily demands required of them at school. I also offer much support to parents who may be frustrated with their attempts at connecting with their kids and who are in need of guidance relating to discipline techniques and behavior management.

My natural focus is on individuals experiencing symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder ( ADHD) and Anxiety with a focus on helping individuals ,parents and families. I believe that making a strong connection right from the start is important and when an individual feels like he or she is understood, he or she is more willing to give the process of change a try. It also helps when those who experience ADHD and or Anxiety are able to accept that what they are living with is not a disability but rather a strength and that it is okay to feel and be different. I say this from experience because I am childhood diagnosed.

Based on findings, recognizing the primary area of concern and setting and achieving goals is critical in reducing mental health symptoms that are most debilitating to the client. Specialties are treating people with addiction and underlying disorders such as brain impairment, ADHD, depression, anxiety and trauma.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.
How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.
Are there specific medications for ADHD?
Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.
How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
