I work hard to build a working relationship with clients and embrace diversity among us.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and work with a delightful therapy dog, Piper. With so much happening in the world and our own "backyard" it can fee overwhelming. I offer Telehealth services if indicated and most insurance providers are making this easier during this time of high stress and uncertainty. Utilizing a collaborative, client centered approach, I am here to provide support, feedback, education, and a safe environment for you to make the change you wish to achieve.

I believe that as human beings we are constantly being challenged by life to stand up to our fears and learn how to be true to ourselves. Counseling is helpful, often times critical, during times of crisis when a person's inner strength has become overwhelmed, confused or blocked by the stormy issues of life. Resolving these issues is a very complex matter which involves great care and skill, skills such as: processing intense emotions, healing traumatic memories, correcting obsolete negative (fear-based) beliefs about oneself and communicating assertively.

Welcome! I specialize in adults who are on The Autism Spectrum or suspect they might be. I offer evaluations, diagnoses, counseling and advocacy. It is my belief that autism is "another order" rather than a "dis-order" and that people on The Spectrum bring a unique set of skills and a new perspective to the world.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
