I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified-Clinical Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Social Worker, with decades of counseling experience. I offer individual and group therapy, psycho-education and consulting for adults experiencing mental health, substance abuse, or chronic health difficulties. I collaborate with you, building on your strengths, to help you explore new insights, skills and solutions. My approach is holistic, compassionate, non-judgmental, and integrative. I am currently meeting with clients virtually and in-person at a location near downtown Beaverton. When therapy is conducted in a warm and non-judgmental environment, and an individual, couple, or a family feels safe and understood, it can be incredibly powerful in providing healing and growth from life's difficult past experiences as well as current challenges. As a strengths-based and client-centered LMFT, I work to create a safe place where a client's existing internal strengths are explored and they are able to create goals that build towards healing, growth, awareness, and positive change.

We treat all ages and most ailments. We have offices throughout Oregon and we do telehealth. Our providers cover almost all modalities, insurances and demographics so that you have a high probably of getting the right provider and the right time. Through a social justice lens, I accompany people on their journey to a more grounded and liberated life by exploring how our intersecting identities and cultural experiences have led to the ways we are hurt, but also hold the keys to how we heal. For my clients, these layers of oppression may result in anxiety, depression, and racial identity concerns. We'll work together to process your experience, draw out your strengths, and support your goals. I love working with Asian American adults, and other POC, to connect the impacts of history, oppression, and culture on mental health and wellbeing.

I believe that everyone has the right and ability to achieve an engaged, balanced and satisfying life. I am continually impressed by my clients ability to grow and change, regardless of life circumstances. As a practitioner, I work closely with clients, using a strengths-based approach to help create change and assist them in achieving their personal and professional goals. By engaging in the therapeutic process, my clients are able to identify problem areas, increase their ability to communicate effectively, find new ways of relating to themselves and others and develop positive strategies for successful conflict resolution.

I work with clients on a short-term model, identifying strengths and enhancing coping skills. I also do long-term insight-oriented work; identifying patterns of feelings, thoughts, and behaviors which reflect unconscious conflict and create barriers in relationships with oneself and others. Symptoms of anxiety and depression are often what prompt people to enter therapy. Some people want to learn tools and behaviors to alleviate symptomology; while others continue with therapy, after symptom reduction, and explore internal themes from their family-of-origin and how they are impacting their relationships today. I believe change occurs through the therapeutic relationship.

I am an Insight oriented, GLBTQIA friendly and anti-racist practitioner. I focus on long-term change and improved well-being while working towards "here and now" self-compassion, self-care and behavioral changes to achieve lasting change. I strive to promote advocacy, social justice and inherent self worth with each client. I work with clients concerned with substance use/abuse, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, life transitions, trauma and emotional regulation concerns among other areas of concern.
